The marine industry in the Møre region is built on strong traditions dating back hundreds of years in time. The region is now the leading fishery-hub in Norway, both with respect to operation at sea and land-based processing. The majority of the Norwegian offshore fishing fleet operates from the area together with a well-developed land-based processing industry.
